  • Bassetlaw Spring Clean

    Fri 26 May 2017

The children have been busy today looking after and maintaining our school grounds.

As part of the Bassetlaw Spring Clean initiative each class has spent time cleaning and tidying an area of the school.  As you can see from the photographs, the children have brushed, washed, weeded and litter picked.

What a super way to end our half term, making sure we leave our lovely school looking pristine.

  • An exciting way to celebrate Ascension Day

    Thu 25 May 2017
We have had a great time this morning celebrating Ascension Day with our 'Prayers to Heaven' event as part of the 'Thy Kingdom Come'  prayer campaign. We started the day with an assembly by Reverend Lima and then all wrote our prayers on prayer cards which were attached to balloons that were released to heaven. The balloon release was  a whole school event on the field and we observed a minutes silence to  think about the victims of the Manchester attack before watching our prayers disappear with our balloons. The behaviour of the children was outstanding as usual and was commented upon by all adults involved. Well done children!
