    Sun 27 Feb 2022

If a person tests positive for coronavirus, whether by LFD or PCR test, they are advised to stay at home for up to 10 days and avoid contact with other people, especially those in at-risk groups. Refer to guidance for people with COVID and their contacts. COVID-19: people with COVID-19 and their contacts - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) Individuals may choose to take an LFD test from 5 days after symptoms started (or the day test was taken if no symptoms) followed by another LFD test the next day. If two consecutive test results are negative, and the person does not have a high temperature, they can safely return to work/school after the second negative test. NHS Test and Trace is being stood down from 24 Feb 2022. Close contacts will no longer be identified and contacted. However, people who live with someone with coronavirus, or who know they have been in close contact with someone who has confirmed coronavirus, are still advised to take precautions to reduce risk of infecting others.
